Kern Water Damage Restoration ("we") is a water damage restoration company in Bakersfield, California. This page says what we collect, what we do with it, and who else sees it.
The contact form
When you send the form on our contact page, we receive your name, phone number, property address and the type of service you need, plus your email and message if you add them. We use it to call you back and to run your job.
The form is delivered to us by email through Resend, an email service. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the sender is a person and not a bot.
Phone calls
Our website shows phone numbers from CallRail, a call-tracking service. When you call one, CallRail records your phone number, the time of the call, and which page or ad sent you. Calls to these numbers may be recorded. We use this to answer and follow up with callers and to learn which of our ads work.
Cookies and services the site loads
- CallRail sets cookies so a call can be matched to the page you came from.
- Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and sees your IP address to keep it running and block attacks.
Our site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. CallRail's call matching is the only tracking on it.
Information from your job
On a job we collect what the work needs: photos, moisture readings, your insurance claim details and the people involved. We share it with your insurance carrier and its adjusters when they are paying for the work, and with the software we use to document and bill the job.
Our accounting software
We use QuickBooks Online for our books, connected through KWDR Books, a connection we built for our own use. It reaches only Kern Water Damage Restoration's own QuickBooks company, and it is not offered to any other business. The records it handles are kept in QuickBooks and on our company computer. We use Claude, an AI assistant made by Anthropic, to do the bookkeeping, so the records it works on pass through Anthropic's service. Its terms of use are on the KWDR Books terms page.
What we never do
We do not sell your information or share it with anyone for their advertising.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
Email [email protected] or call 661-912-6344 to ask what we hold about you, or to correct or delete it. Some records we keep because the law or your insurance claim requires them, and we will tell you which.
Children
Our site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
